County Seat History

County Seat opened on December 2nd 1977 at Upper Main St, next to the old Dillions Supermarket. It was originally just a menswear business but in 1982 we expanded onto the second floor and included ladies wear .

In 1999 we moved to Lower Main St to a bigger store. We expanded our ranges and most importantly we also expanded our school wear business. Now County Seat could cater for over 20 schools as well as offering men’s & ladies fashion at affordable prices.

In October 2013 we moved for the third time to our current premises at 5 Upper Main St formally Nationwide Building society, an iconic building in the heart of Letterkenny. In our new premises we are able to offer a larger selection of menswear, ladies wear and school wear. We have also expanded or formal wear range significantly giving the County Seat the ability to dress everybody for almost any occasion.

Count Seat boasts the northwest’s first and only purpose built school wear floor open 12 months of the year. We are also the preferred partner of over 20 schools in Donegal and we offer a quality product at competitive prices with customer service second to none.

County Seat are now almost 40 years in Business on the Main St in Letterkenny, We intend to keeping doing what we have done over years, providing the very best product and service coupled with the keenest prices. We would like to thank our loyal staff and customers who have stayed with us over the years, We are eternally greatful.
